David is a Washington, D.C. based nature and travel photographer, with a particular interest in texture and detail. Since texture and detail are important, David was quickly drawn to large format photography (the "old school" kind with bellows that you put your head under a cloth to use). That said, for convenience most of the photos David takes now are with a digital Canon SLR.
Although David loves traveling for its own sake, he often picks out locations for the photographic potential (like going to Meteora in Greece on honeymoon or flying far out of the way for the dunes in Namibia). That said, most of the photos I take (and that are on this site) were taken in the D.C. area, including Sheandoah National Park, Bull Run Park, and the National Arboretum.
